ROBERT D. DWORTZ
Managing Partner
Founded Strength Property Partners in 2006 as a
unique source of investment capital and investment banking expertise
focused exclusively on urban development projects. At SPP, Rob
oversees all aspects of the Fund’s operation, including transaction
sourcing, due diligence and structuring, negotiating and closing
legal documentation, investment management, and the sale of tax
credits. Rob has extensive experience in real estate investing and
finance, public incentives and general corporate financial
transactions.
Prior to founding SPP, Rob was a Senior Vice President of National
City Bank in charge of the real estate investment and public sector
businesses for the State of Michigan. Rob has structured and
arranged more than $1 billion of capital for use in real estate,
leveraged buyout and traditional senior lending transactions. Of
these transactions, Rob has led or participated in more than 25 real
estate equity transactions, including tax credit structures such as
federal and state Historic Tax Credits, Brownfield Redevelopment
Credits and New Markets Tax Credit structures. In addition, Rob
founded and developed the tax credit monetization business for
National City, related specifically to the Michigan brownfield
redevelopment tax credit.
Rob earned a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan and a
MBA with High Distinction from the Stephen M. Ross School of
Business at the University of Michigan. He has resided in Huntington
Woods, Michigan for the past 8 years with his wife and four
children. |
